The Objects and The Objectified Life Drawing

Wireless Hill Museum is excited to present its latest monthly event - Life Drawing.

25th October 2023

The City of Melville invites ALL to crack out the lead and join The Model Speaks Jane Hebiton and Artist Gordon Mitchell on the last Wednesday of the month from 6-8pm.

Set in the Museums exhibition space, Jane will model amongst the exhibition’s objects. For those without any experience or nervous about revisiting life drawing – do not fear! Gordon will be assisting you in navigating the process and reclaiming your artistic prowess.

The sessions are open to the established and/or emerging. Easels, boards, some paper, and pencils are provided. However, participants are encouraged to bring their own materials of choice (paper, pencils, ink and/or charcoal).

Please note that this is a life drawing session, as such Jane will be completely nude. Students aged +15 are welcome to the session, we just request their parents or guardian sign a permission form available on arrival. Venue is wheelchair accessible. We do encourage any participants to touch base with Museum staff prior to the event with their access requirements to make sure we can clarify any questions and make the space is as accommodating and welcoming as possible.

This event is offered on the last Wednesday of August, September and October.
